Crown your stay and lodging in the capital of the Upper Palatinate district of Bavaria in our historic stonewalled building of the year 1784! The Aufhauser Court had been part of the 1000-year-old Niedermünster Abbey and Parish of St. Peter and Paul, whose late abbess Elisabeth von Speth Febronia-Zwyfalten (1769-1789) once had acquired this unique site. Above the entrance gate to the romatically vine-covered courtyard you still can read the heraldic inscription:
“The Most Venerable Noblewoman Maria Elisabeth Febronia, Princess of Holy Roman Empire and Abbess of Imperial Abbey Niedermünster zu Regensburg, Deigned to Order the Rebuild of this House Belonging to the Church Anew on Top of the Old Foundation on Her Own Expenses in the Year 1784.”
The eastern facade of the courthouse is surrounded by the ancient Roman city defense wall, built in the year 179. Parts of this wall are integrated into the whole construction as well.
You will feel like being in ancient Rome while living in the luxury of our times, having all services at hand ….
